Bastrop’s 75th Annual Homecoming & RodeoJuly 22, 2022 4:03 pm
Bastrop’s 75th Annual Homecoming and Rodeo is kicking off on August 3rd-6th at Mayfest Park. Starting on Wednesday, August 6th, there will be four evenings of fun for the whole family. Everything from live music, rodeo events, carnival rides, tournaments, food vendors, dances, class reunions, a Grand Parade, and more will be part of the community-wide celebration.
Bastrop’s Homecoming and Rodeo originated in 1947 as a way of welcoming back 90,000 soldiers who had been based at Camp Swift during WWII. Today locals and visitors alike are welcome to this unique, hometown event where you’ll find displays of courage, dancing, and competitive yard games.
Tickets are free for Wednesday and Thursday’s events! Friday and Saturday’s ticket price is $15 each night, but kids 10 & under get free admission. There are also 1000 weekend passes available for $25 if you want to save $5 and get tickets in advance.
